Joplin Police Awards Ceremony Honors Officers

The Joplin Elks Lodge on April 13, 2010 hosted the Joplin Police Awards Ceremony for the eighth consecutive year.
Joplin Mayor Mike Woolston thanked the Officers, their spouses and civilian employees for their dedication and service to the community.
There were several officers honored with Letters of Commendation, Meritorious Service Awards and Grand Cordons for team actions.
The following officers and civilians were recognized for their accomplishments.
Corporal Brian Henderson, Gallantry Medal Shane Dotson, Jail Administrator, Civilian Employee of the Year Sabrina Reineke, Dispatcher of the Year David McGough, Detention Officer of the Year Officer Justin Elliston, Rookie of the Year Nick Jimenez, Officer of the Year Detective Larry Swinehart and Detective Jason Schanot were both awarded Detective of the Year.
The Joplin Police Department greatly appreciates the kindness and hospitality of the Joplin Elks Lodge in hosting this event.
